What We Do:

  • ► Organize the National Skills Competition every two years, bringing together the most talented young professionals from across the country.
  • ► Select and train top-performing individuals to represent Ethiopia at regional and international competitions like WorldSkills.
  • ► Collaborate with industry to align TVET curricula with labor market needs.
  • ► Promote skill development as a key pillar of Ethiopia’s economic growth, youth employment, and poverty reduction strategies.

To elevate the recognition of skilled talent in Ethiopia and highlight the critical role skills play in achieving national growth and individual success.

The Ethiopian National Skills Competition promotes excellence in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), serving as a bridge between learning institutions, industry needs, and employment opportunities.

EthiopiaSkills aims to:

1. Inspire Ethiopian youth to pursue technical and vocational careers with pride and purpose.
2. Strengthen national TVET standards by benchmarking against international best practices.
3. Encourage innovation through healthy competition and exposure to emerging technologies.
4. Enhance workforce readiness by aligning training with labor market and industrial demands.
5. Unite stakeholders across government, industry, and education to create a dynamic skills ecosystem.
